To create a place of safety, healing, and knowledge, where young people can learn to overcome their weaknesses, discover their strengths and realize their true potential.
Description:
The Journey’s Intensive Outpatient Program is a sixteen week treatment program offered five days a week, specific to treatment of substance abuse. All groups are lead by a therapist, substance abuse counselor, or trained paraprofessional. The groups are open-ended, allowing for clients to enter the treatment at any time in the cycle. At the end of the client’s sixteen weeks in treatment, the client has the opportunity to graduate and then attend Aftercare as needed. Additionally, individual and/or family therapy may be recommended, as well as other treatment components, such as 12 step meetings, tracking services, etc.
History:
The Journey has many programs to help youth overcome addictions. Our Intensive Outpatient Program is important to help young people understand how to live in the substance abuse culture and learn to cope and handle the hard situations they come across on a daily basis. The Journey has been around since April of 2004 and is continuing to expand with many programs that have become helpful to those whose lives have become unmanageable.
