The Center for Women and Children in Crisis has a mission to provide a caring, advocating, safe and educationally-based environment for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; and to protect victims from further abuse or exploitation.
Description:
We provide 24 hour crisis counseling and support to victims of rape and sexual assault. We provide assistance at the hospital or police station to those who have reported a sexual assault. We offer a free weekly educational support group for victims and significant others. We offer educational presentations to the community and schools on a variety of topics. We offer a free 16-week therapy group for victims of rape and sexual assault.
History:
The Center for Women and Children in crisis was established in 1984. We recently purchased a Community Outreach Building that is open to the public and more accessible for those seeking help.
