Heritage approaches the treatment and care of the adolescent from the point of view of the most crucial issue being that of RELATIONSHIPS. At risk adolescents often do not trust and tend to pull away from the care of adults; consequently, the development of a strong therapeutic relationship is our primary focus.

Description:
Heritage's professional staff includes psychiatrists, general practice physician, physician assistant, clinical/therapy staff (LCSW, LMFT, LPC,MSW) and trained mental health workers who make up our staff. Additionally, Heritage offers nursing services (RN, LPN), licensed therapeutic recreation specialists, registered dietician, and professional licensed educators, including special-education credentialed teachers.

Heritage is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) as a Behavioral Health Care Facility. It is also licensed by the State of Utah Department of Human Services to provide residential treatment as well as substance abuse treatment services. Our educational program is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges which means earned credits are transferable to other schools and colleges.

History:
Heritage has enjoyed a 20 year history of successfully treating adolescents with mental illness and substance abuse issues. Founded by Jerry Spanos, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in 1984.
