Description:
The housing programs we administer include: Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, public housing, farm-worker housing, housing for victims of domestic violence, housing for disabled persons, housing for chronically homeless, elderly housing, housing rehabilitation loan program and weatherization assistance.
History:
Our agency was created by a resolution of the Utah County Commissioners in December 1973. Sometimes we are inaccurately identified as a department of County Government. We are considered a political subdivision of the State of Utah. Most of our funding comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development or the Department of Energy.
