To provide quality, cost-effective, respite care and related services for Hospice patients in their own homes.
Description:
Providing care for patients with 6 mos or less to live. Volunteers give caregiver support by sitting with patient, reading to them, helping with projects, running errands, etc.
History:
As a division of Intermountain Health Care, Home care has been helping homebound patients in the Intermountain West communities for many years. Hospice is a fast growing part of home care, enabling patients to die at home with their families.
