To promote home ownership and encourage neighborhood revitalization in Provo
Description:
NHS of Provo has broad services ranging from grassroots service projects to home building to loan assistance. For volunteer purposes, we offer opportunities for groups and individuals to paint homes, clean yards, and plant trees in connection with the Provo city neighborhood program. Volunteer neighborhood chairs in the five central Provo "pioneer" neighborhoods identify needs in their areas and call on NHS to provide volunteer support, supplies, and miscellaneous needs. We also accept professional volunteer help for our construction projects such as plumbing, drywalling, roofing, etc. This helps with our home building projects. Upon completion, these homes are sold to first-time home owners and low-income families.
