To help people with disabilities receive resources for interdependence and self-empowerment. We strive to support the total person physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Description:
RISE, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that contracts with state government to provide support programs for people with a variety of disabilities. We have a network of hundreds of associates, including many outstanding specialists: behavioral communication, physical, occupational, dietary, and medical professionals to meet each individual's needs. From its inception, RISE has been associated with some of the most creative and innovative support programs in the field. Not only have we excelled in urban areas, we have also succeeded in providing excellent supports to previously under-served rural and remote areas. We are proud of our accomplishments, awards and publications, but measure our success one program, one person, and one employee at a time. RISE specializes in home and community-based services for over 1200 children and adults with disabilities. We believe people are best supported in families, homes of their own, vocational and small residential settings in the community. Our services and training are as varied as the people we support.
History:
RISE, Inc. is a not for profit organization that provides supports to people with disabilities and their families. RISE, Inc. has been in operation since 1987 providing services in Utah, Arizona, Kansas, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Washington. The agencies initial mission was to develop a model of supports that would meet the needs of children with disabilities in their most natural setting, the family. This model, titled "The Professional Parent Program," offers children an alternative to institutionalization when their biological family cannot meet their needs at home. The Professional Parent model is the hallmark service of RISE, INC. RISE, INC has expanded services and now considers itself a full service provider inclusive of residential settings, day programs, and supported employment. RISE, INC. believes that for people with disabilities, these services are in an evolutionary stage. This evolution has and is driving change in RISE, Inc.'s philosophy of service delivery, resulting in a new mission and many new and innovative supports. The agency now provides resources and a large variety of opportunities, which are totally driven form person-centered plans. Each individual receiving service now has the opportunity to customize their own system of supports. This new system of supports has resulted in the expansion of service delivery and increased demand for RISE, INC.
