To support people with developmental disabilities by promoting personal growth, positive family relationships and community interdependence

Description:
We believe that people with disabilities are valued citizens within their community and have a right to be supported in the lifestyle of their choosing. Tri Connections is organized in a “person-centered” delivery model: family members, friends, employers, State Support Coordinators, and others that the person may feel is important in their life are part of the services planning process.
Currently, Tri has over 100 employees who assist more than 125 people with customized, individual services.
All supports are provided by trained staff on an hourly and as-needed basis, depending on each individual’s unique needs and requests. The duration of support can range from 1-2 hours per week up to 24 hours per day.

History:
Tri Connections, Inc. began in 1986 when the ARC of Utah County offered a grant sponsored by a group of concerned parents to provide residential services for 14 individuals with developmental disabilities. Project TRI (Transition to Residential Independence) was formed as a non-profit services agency and accepted the grant to provide these services. In 1995, Project TRI became Tri Connections, Inc., and had grown to serve 45 persons in residential settings. Tri merged with Project LIFT, Inc., in 1996 to form an agency serving nearly 100 persons. Tri has since expanded services to include supported living, family support, supported employment, day services, and summer camp.
