  Freedom Festival At Provo

Last updated on July 2, 2007

America’s Freedom Foundation is a nonprofit foundation organized for four main purposes: to celebrate, educate, honor, and strengthen. The Foundation’s events—celebrate our freedoms and the 4th of July, educate the rising generation to appreciate and preserve these freedoms, honor those who have distinguished themselves in the cause of liberty nationally and internationally, and strengthen America’s freedom-enabling institutions.

Description:
America's Freedom Festival at Provo, Utah, is one of the premier patriotic celebrations in America. Its roots trace back to the 1870s, more than two decades before Utah became a state.

The current Festival organization is a private, non-profit, non-political foundation that plans and organizes annual celebrations and commemorative events that go beyond a one-day holiday. Today's Festival mounts over 25 annual events, starting in March, culminating in the Independence Day celebration. Other new events are being planned for fall and early winter.

The purpose of the festival is to commemorate our Day of Independence and celebrate the spirit of America by creating festivities that instill a deeper sense of patriotism in the hearts of those involved. Local and state governments, generous sponsors, event chairs, and literally thousands of volunteers work together to organize events for men, women, and children of all ages.
