Utah County Jail Aftercare Mentor Program

Utah County Sheriff Department has started a pilot transitionary program for inmates leaving jail. They greatly need dedicated volunteers to serve as mentors to those in the transitionary program as well as other recently release inmates if there are enough mentors. Mentors will receive specific assignments to provide support and guidance to the client as well as a source of accountability in building life skills and gaining employment.Clients may be from anywhere in Utah County.
All volunteers will undergo background checks and extensive training. Mentors will agree to abide by established standards of conduct. Mentors will meet with clients on a regular basis for at least six months. Please contact Chaplain Green as soon as possible to sign up.
