The Wasatch County Medical Reserve Corps (WCMRC) is a volunteer-based organization that relies on its volunteers to fill key emergency response roles such as: administration of prophylaxis medications, emergency triage, and ongoing administrative and planning roles.
The Wasatch County Medical Reserve Corps has agreed to support two critical Public Health and Homeland Security issues: 1) ensuring medical surge capacity, meaning the ability to meet the need for an abundance of medical workers during disasters, and 2) supporting the deployment and dispensing of medications received from the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) through Point-of-Dispensing clinics (PODs). Volunteers are a critical element in staffing these clinics during a disaster.

Wasatch County is in need of volunteers with a variety of backgrounds and experience to assist with the goals and objectives of the Wasatch County Medical Reserve Corps. We encourage volunteers with medical and non-medical backgrounds to submit applications to join our team.
