Provide Crisis Line Support
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Staff and volunteers at the Crisis Line work to de-escalate general crisis and suicide situations by (1) providing a listening ear, and (2) helping callers find solutions to their problems through personal and community resources. Training is provided. All prospective Crisis Line volunteers must complete a 14-hour training and submit a background check before volunteering at the Crisis Line. The Crisis Line training focuses on developing reflective listening skills, understanding crisis situations, becoming familiar with available community services, and discussing Crisis Line call-taking procedures. ![]() This opportunity is sponsored by: Crisis Line of Utah County
