The Family Support and Treatment Center offers a parenting course called Love, Limits and Latitude: A Thousand Small Moments of Parenting. Parents with children ages three through eleven can benefit from this educational parent-training program because it enhances positive parent-child relationships and improves distressed parent child relationships.
The three anchors of this program are love, limits and latitude. Love in the context of the program means connection and bonding between parents and children. The limits section aids in providing structure and discipline. Latitude has to do with how parents respect their childrens' individuality.
This 10-12 week program is offered at the agency in a tradition parenting class style. It is also available within the home where the lessons are geared to the specific family's needs. The in-home program focuses, primarily, on the rural areas where social programs are limited, and it is difficult for parents to travel to receive other services. |

Parents with children ages 3 through 11 in Utah, Wasatch, Summit, Juab and Millard counties. |
| Intake Procedure: |
|
Attendance at Parenting Classes requires prior communication with the Parent Advocate, and a 75% attendance rate is required if a completion certificate for court is needed. In-home clients complete an intake information and assessment prior to beginning actual "lesson" material. |

If you're approaching on I-15 from South, take the 800 North Orem Exit. Turn right from the offramp and immediately left at the light on 1200 West. Continue north for 4 1/2 blocks. The Center is on the left hand side of the road. Please enter on the south side of the building. If you're approaching on I-15 from North, take the 1600 North Orem Exit. Turn left from the offramp and travel east to the second light (1200 West, Orem). Turn right and continue south for 3 1/2 blocks. The Center is on the right. Please enter on the south side of the building.
