Trips For Kids Utah Valley |
| Description : |
|
Trips for Kids Utah Valley (TFK Utah Valley)is part of Community Action Youth Program whose mission is to empower youth to resist negative peer pressure and become more self-reliant by providing adult mentor support and skills training.
TFK Utah Valley teaches youth, ages 12-17, how to mountain bike. TFK focuses on teaching underprivileged youth; however, any teen may participate. TFK Utah Valley has 3 two-month sessions each year (starting in March and ends in October).
During each 6-week session, youth and volunteers attend weekly workshops on mountain biking and participate in a few mountain bike rides. Ride volunteers from the community are needed to help run the program. |
