At Job Corps, eligible students enroll for a $25,000/year scholarship to learn a trade, such as, Business Clerical, Welder, Culinary Arts, Tile Setter, Plumbing, Carpentry, Computer Repair Technician, Health Occupations, Machinist, Auto Repair Technician, and many more. They can also earn their high school diploma or GED and receive assistance with job placement. College and advanced training programs are also available. When awarded the scholarship, students are paid a bi-weekly living allowance, provided room, board, and healthcare, and receive industry-certified training at no-cost. Job Corps supports its students for up to 18 months after they graduate from the program, including a $1200 Transition Allowance. |

Age 16 through 24; a U.S. citizen or legal resident; meet income requirements; be drug, alcohol, and crime free; and ready, willing and able to participate fully in an educational environment |
| Intake Procedure: |

To join Job Corps or get more information please call (800) 733-JOBS or the local Admissions Counselor at 898-7296. Applicants need to fill our a pre-application form, contact sheet and essay and then schedule an appointment with the local Admissions Counselor. The Counselor will give them a list of items they need to bring to the interview, including the pre-application packet. If the applicant is under 18 a parent or guardian needs to accompany them. |
