Get Checking(tm) is designed to help you get access to basic financial services, namely deposit accounts (checking and savings accounts), whether you have had problems managing your accounts in the past or if you simply have never opened a deposit account.
The Get Checking(tm) Program offers you a fresh start if you have had problems in the past. Once you successfully complete the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. You can then take that certificate to a participating financial institution that will recognize your commitment to learning and open an account under agreed-upon conditions. In addition, your ChexSystems report will be flagged to indicate that you've taken the course and you're trying to be more fiscally responsible. |
